While waiting for some of my job prospect to call back, I decided to put that on pause and do an adventure over the summer. I've been planning to paddle to the Mississippi since last year, but the timing was never right. I decided to paddle the big muddy this summer. What will make this trip interesting though is that I've decide to take my 16 years old brother-in-law with me down the river. Since growing up in this culture of TV and consumerism, he missed out on the basic lesson of life and the appreciation of everything, he will benefit more from this than I. For me, i guess beside the usual challenge of a trip like this, there a strong possibility of me having to haul a 200 lbs of whining dead weight Jeffrey down the river, this will be my lesson in patience.
